House styles come in various forms and shapes with architectural details that may either be inspired by classical profiles or originally created to fit in modern times. Nevertheless, the evolution of these styles parallels the timeline of the society’s rich history and lifestyle.

Through the years, it can be noted that most of the houses were built with the dominance of porches in the façade, which became the extension of the living room. It has been a generally accepted practice to move out to the front porch right after meals, most especially during summer time, since the house is already warm due to the climate.

The wicker also became popular during the Victorian times, because it is fancier than the other existing outdoor furniture. It is basically made of hard wooden fiber organized to form a rigid material.

After sometime, a lot of different furniture has continuously been added to the patio and in 1930’s casual outdoor furniture has began to appear. There were the handcrafted wrought iron, cast and tubular aluminum, but then the consumers are seeking for more comfortable pieces. Later on when the urban centers became more populated and there are fewer places to sit in the city, the passion for lawn chairs and straight back chairs came along.

Since, the suburbs became a suitable place for families, it is required to have more outdoor furniture. This is the beginning of the real need for outdoor patio furniture. The demand for them grew immensely from the time when people find the delight on extending their amusing outdoors. Thus, the trend is very much alive and developing up to this day.

As time passes by, more high-tech materials are developed and used for the production of outdoor patio furniture to respond to people’s demand for durability, ease of care and strength for their outdoor furniture. As more and more people are spending time outdoors and extending their homes through the idea of outdoor kitchens and rooms, more and more outdoor furniture will definitely be developed to attend to this rising need. To note, people nowadays already own swimming pools and many other outdoor toys, which only require specific outdoor furniture. Accordingly, as the people continuously sustain such lifestyle and advocate such furniture, the outdoor patio furniture will continue to develop into trendy pieces that can be used everyday either for relaxing or entertaining.
